Sulzburg
Just 6 km from Heiterstem, with its historic town centre, lies the beautiful town of Sulzburg. Explore St Cyriak’s, the oldest Ottonian church (933), at your leisure, or take the opportunity to visit the former synagogue. The State Mining Museum and the Jewish cemetery are also well worth a visit. There are plenty of good places to stop for a bite to eat, serving regional specialities. Sulzburg is also a great starting point for active holidaymakers. Whether you’re looking for mountain bike trails, Nordic walking routes or hiking paths, there’s plenty to choose from here.
