Skiing

In winter, the 1,241-metre-high Kandel mountain attracts numerous winter sports enthusiasts to the surrounding villages. This includes St. Peter, with its ski lift.

The Kandel lifts still rely on natural snow – for the sake of the environment. Nevertheless, hundreds of winter sports enthusiasts are drawn to the 1.6 kilometres of slopes every year. The range of slopes in St. Peter extends from easy to difficult. At the Kaibenloch lift, the 400-metre easy slope is where beginners feel very much at home. The 550-metre black run at the Schwarzmoos lift and the 650-metre red Kuhloch run enclose the easy area.

As a special treat, night skiing is available at the Kandel lifts on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays until 11 pm. The blue run and the snow park are floodlit for this. A highlight of the ski area, alongside the snow park, are the two toboggan runs, one of which is served by a sledge lift. This makes tobogganing even more fun.

Kandelpark

The snow park, situated on the blue run, is suitable for snowboarders and skiers alike. The park, which is redesigned every year, offers various obstacles such as boxes, rails and kickers.

Off-piste

In St. Peter am Kandel, in addition to downhill skiing and tobogganing, there is also the option of cross-country skiing. Two trails (4.7 and 6.5 km) are located right in the village. Hikers will also find a path for a leisurely walk through the winter landscape.
