Cassiopeia Therme - Thermal Baths
At the Cassiopeia Therme thermal baths, you can relax in beautiful bathing areas covering a total water surface area of over 1,000 square metres!
Well-being with a touch of tradition
Even the Romans appreciated the healing properties of hot springs when, almost 2,000 years ago, they laid the foundations for a health-promoting bathing culture in Badenweiler. Even today, the well-preserved remains of what was once the largest Roman thermal baths north of the Alps bear witness to Badenweiler’s ancient origins. Right next door, the Cassiopeia Therme, awarded five Wellness Stars, continues the long tradition of this historic spa.
Award-winning domed pool, 32 °C
A perfect blend of light and water. From the domed pool, which has been awarded the German Steel Construction Prize, you have a direct view of the spa gardens. This is also where the water aerobics/aqua fitness sessions take place, free of charge for Cassiopeia guests.
Oasis of calm: Marble Bath, 34 °C
A sensuous atmosphere and soothingly warm thermal water. The column-lined pool, complete with massage jets, and two bathing grottos heated to 36 °C with floor jets provide the perfect setting for relaxation.
Outdoor swimming pool, 30°C
Relax in the large outdoor swimming pool, complete with a lazy river, massage jets and a neck shower, whilst enjoying views of Baden Castle and the spa gardens. It’s particularly lovely in the evening, under the starry sky!
Free water aerobics & aqua fitness
At Cassiopeia Therme, you can not only relax, but also actively do something for your health and fitness by taking part in free water aerobics and aqua fitness sessions.
Aqua-Cycling
Aqua-Cycling is a low-impact endurance and fitness workout. The exceptionally gentle thermal water at Cassiopeia Therme and the perfect water temperature of 32 °C in the domed pool create ideal conditions.
Tip: Long Spa Night
Every first Saturday of the month, we host a Long Spa Night featuring a programme of events and lots of little extras – open until midnight at no extra charge!
Awarded five Wellness Stars
For the fourth year running, the Cassiopeia Therme has been awarded the ‘Five Wellness Stars Spa’ accolade in all categories. It is regularly inspected by assessors from Wellness Stars GmbH and TÜV Rheinland Cert GmbH against a comprehensive list of criteria. In November 2014, it received a certificate recognising 10 years of consistent quality assurance in the wellness sector.
