Heitersheim
In the picturesque valley of the Sulzbach, in the border triangle of Germany, France and Switzerland. A town with a Maltese heritage and one of the oldest wine-growing villages in the Markgräflerland region, offering fine dining and traditional wine taverns. Testaments to its history include the Maltese Castle, which houses the Johanniter-Maltese Museum, and the Roman Museum "Villa Urbana".
Heitersheim is an ideal starting point for walks, hikes and cycle rides. Good food and fine wine have a long tradition here. From fine dining at our Michelin-starred Hotel Krone, to traditional fare at the country inn, right through to establishments serving international cuisine, cosy cafés and rustic inns , the gastronomic variety is considerable.
